whats EGAS
 
well i was looking at another post and it said that the 2.7 had somthing called egas.what is that and what do i have on my 2.5. :)

Electronic Gas pedal. The pedal has a cable that goes to an electronic box rather than pulling directly on the throttle. When you push the pedal, it puls on a spring loaded pulley (just like the one on regular engines at the throttle body). The box sends a signal to the computer with how much gas you are giving the car and the computer opens the throttle body accordingly.

You don't have it on the 2.5. All Boxsters MY '00 up have eGas.

EGAS happens after the Oktoberfest parties with all the dark beer and brats with cabbage! :)
