Deal or No Deal

Did anyone watch the show tonight? That guy picked the $3,000,000 case. Freaking amazing!! :)

He won like $650,000. That will buy a lot of P-cars. Or at least cover the maintenance costs for a few years! :)

(see how I kept it Porsche related!)

I like how you kept it Porsche related. I was worried you might mention a product you wanted to sell or research... then the sponsor police would have had to stop by.

I don't think that guy would be buying a Porsche. He couldn't fit and it isn't edible!

I can't believe he quit as soon as he did ! He should have stuck it out for the next round, he could have walked away a millionaire !

Received Panorama from PCA yesterday. Looks like they are having a raffle for a 2007 Cayman S :

$50 a ticket, no more than 4,000 tickets sold !

It was amazing....

Considering the guy picked the 23rd case because he's been married for 23 yrs, working the same job for 23 yrs, and been a member of the Teamsters for 23 yrs, he should have gone all the way with it. His wife, like most sensible wives, told him to quit while he was ahead. Even after taxes, he would have still had about $1M to spend if he won the $3M. This is my wife's favorite show, and she was screaming at the TV the whole time -- now she wants to help her get on the show!!! Of course she told me if she won big money, I could buy the top 911 instead of saving my pennies for the 07 Boxster I'm planning to buy the end of the year.

Regards,
paul....

After securing the neccesities for a decent life (food, shelter, health, education, etc.) the feeling of "being rich" can only come from within, regardless of how much $ is being showered in from the outside. There will always be someone with more and better material toys than me.

That sounds like a good arrangement. You should encourage her to go on the show.
