So as I have entered other forums for my new endeavors, RVs, motorcycles, the topic not to mention is OIL. These forums all share that same 'OH KNOW - don't start that...' response when ever oil recommendation, service interval, how much, how little.

I have to wonder what other Toy forums would have the same reaction to Oil. I could think that airplanes, motorized remote controlled toys, power boats would have that same nervous tick against the mere mention of 'what oil...'

The Nitro RC forums will foam at the mouth over castor vs synthetic oil.

And the Miata forums will have members leave if you insult their oil choices.

Not sure about here.... I think most Porsche owners use Mobil 1 *shrug*

There are brand loyalties that border on religion on these topics.


The only comment I will make on oil is a comment on change interval.
You cannot hurt anything (except your wallet) by changing oil too often, you can only hurt if you don't change it often enough.

I agree! And I use mobile 1 because thats what was in it before, frankly I think if you change often enough all the brands a pretty similiar.
