Another Coolant Question....

Hit the search function but didn’t find a definitive answer to my question.
About 20,000 miles ago I replaced the water pump and thermostat on my ‘02 base. Drained all the coolant and replaced with what I thought was compatible coolant - Pentofrost ++. Fast forward to today - drained the engine block to upgrade to the “S” oil cooler. While attempting to purchase new coolant I discovered that Pentofrost ++ has been superceded by Pentofrost E. In doing research on the “E” product I discovered that the ++ and E products contain silicate which is suitable replacement for 2006 or later Porsche’s. Earlier water-cooled Porsches used the non-silicate coolant.
My question is this - is it ok to continue use of the silicate coolant or will it cause long term damage and require a flush?
Thanks
