Seats

Anyone recommend some sportier seats for around 1k that would be plug and play?
Pictures? My car is a 00 with black leather stock seats. Looking for ideas.

If you are looking for seat Los without modification, your best bet is the stock 986 seats.otherwise 987 seats can fit but you need to reword the electrical connectors.

I put Recaro sportsters from an evo IX in my Boxster, they are a tad wide but allow for harness pass through and increased bolsters without being nearly as cumbersome as my GT3 seats in my turbo. I have had 997 seats installed as well and even the non sport seats offer a great upgrade and can be had for ~750-1000$.
Best of luck
Shawn

What were the steps to get 997 seats into your Boxster? Which model did you install?

They are literally plug and play, you transfer your seatbelt receptical over and that’s it. Make sure you don’t buy full power seats, power tilt is fine but you want manual sliders. Seats that are full power are a royal pain in the butt to try to hack due to a memory module, I tried and was never happy with it. All 996/986/997/987 manual seat sliders are exactly the same.

What are the seats called that are the same as the boxster stock seats but the sides are more deeper? Sport Seats? Do they make those for a boxster where it is just remove old and pop in new?

Are you referring to these? I think they are called Sports Seats. I don't think the seat is any deeper, it just has those extra wings in the shoulder area and painted hard covers on the backs of the seats. As long as they have the same options as yours in terms of power adjustments lumbar and heat they should bolt right in without any modifications.

Similar but I have seen with deeper sides. Maybe it's an older 911 thing.
Thanks PaulE.
