1998 Boxster Can I replace Hand Brake Handle only? Mine snapped in half today

Today my hand brake broke in half. Can I just replace the handle on a 1998 Boxster or do I need to replace the entire hand brake?

Thanks

I think you have to replace the entire assembly unfortunately. I found a site that sells the assembly used, I got a brake booster from them not long ago and they had one at that point.

Woody can probably help you out. For some reason I see a lot of 986/996 handbrakes for sale on the NY metro area and NJ craigslist sites too.

Thank you both for the suggestions. I will check out the link and or reach out to Woody.

After some further inspection I noticed it's secured with rivets and I can't tell if the rest of it is removable. When I decide to fix it I'll take pics and share. I'll have to deal with a jenky hand brake for now.
