2000 Box S?

Just came back from taking out a 2000 Boxster S that a VW dealer had. The car drove great and seemd well taken care of; short of a small crease in the front facia (center and passenger side).

This car was imported from the US (I'm in Ontario, Canada), and has no service history whatsoever.

The car has 41k miles (71k km) and they are asking $35k ($39k CDN).
(Litroncs, heated seats, upgraded stereo, computer)

Seems like a high price and not worth the risk?

In February I purchased a 2000S with 32k miles for $29,000, from a Porsche dealer...they were originally asking $34,000...I just showed them all the cars on the internet I could buy for less and the price started dropping...I also got them to give me a 12 month warranty...

Got an 01 S 37K miles for 28K for comparison, Litronics, bunch of options.. mint.

I guess it seems a bit high then.... Should I really care about the lack of documentation, as long as I get it into a Porsche mechanic for a PPI? (They want 3 hours to look at it at $88/hr labour).

For more price comparison; I purchased my 2003 Boxster S a year ago with 5,200 for 36K. Installed options included: Litronic headlights, 18” Carrera wheels, Bose sound system, windstop, and other miscellaneous options (cruise control, wheel caps and colored crest, CD center shelf storage, floor mats).

Frankly, it is much too high a price. Why worry about a PPI?
