2001 boxster s ims bearing question
I have a 2001 boxster s that was mfg in April 2001, can anyone tell me if this has the single or double row ims bearing

If I remember correctly it is single. I chose 1997 to get the double .

As JFP said, you can tell once the transmission is separated from the engine. And only then. Especially for the transition years. He has done hundreds.
Porsche, being a small manufacturer and used to building cars in small quantities, had this habit of reaching into the parts bin and using whatever was handy. And keeping no records. They are better now. Replacement engine, rebuild engine, original engine. What it is is a guess until you are looking at the tell tale part. Wonderful cars. And engines. But no engine or car is perfect. |
