Key less ignition needed...
I have a question that may seem to be "racing" centric but I wanted to put it to the general group hoping to pick a lot of brains for an answer. I am picking up another 98' 986 we are going to be running autocross and some rally races only. The one item that is eluding me, and I hope someone has done this, is a key-less start setup.
I have done this many times for my race bikes and it's simply a bypass plug and play so all you need to do is hit the starter button and you go. What options are there for the 986? We are going to gut this car to its bones and I have zero worries about someone taking the car, I just want to do away with the key aspect. Many thanks! |
Something like this?
https://advancedkeys.com/Prod_AK105B.html I had a 1972 Volvo P1800 wagon with a 2.4 swap in it. I installed the above kit in it, and it worked awesome. I still have a spare kit and have honestly been entertaining the idea of putting it in my Boxster :D |

You can either go the ecudictors route
Or you can tape the key in place Either way you then Make the appropriate wiring hacks Mike |
