Seat back latch stuck

Did you ever get the seat latch problem figured out? I took out the drivers seat to fix the bottom cushion and folded it all the way forward. Now the seat won’t unlatch and go back up. Don’t want to put seat back in until it releases. Any advice? Thx

I've been refinishing the seats and have them removed. The seat back latch started working again for awhile.... But is now stuck again. Not sure how it unstuck itself and why it's stuck again now. I may try gently tapping the seat in various orientations to see if that has something to do with it.
