Original/optional equipment question
 

My 2002 S model has the 4 stalk control and the information window at the bottom of the tach with fuel mileage, outside temp, etc. I don't know what that system is called. Was that standard or optional, and what was it called? Would it be standard or optional on a 2001 S model?

It is indeed an option.

It was an option, but is probably the number one modification people do to their 986's, so it may have been added.
