I'm in the same boat. the reason I joined this forum

I have a 97

the top is stuck in the down position. Is there a common failure with the top for the boxster? I'm looking to fix this myself, so any info towards where to look for repair instructions or a technical diagram of the system would be great. Is there a factory service manual or equivalent that I could get my hands on? I got some other repairs that need to be taken care of as well.
