No - I have not done this. I don't have a durametric. Should I have someone do this?

Yes, there are a number of inspections that you should carry out to see if there are other issues that may suggest a failing or about to fail engine. Ensuring these engines have a long life is more that just about the IMS bearing. Wearing chain rails can also cause an engine to self destruct.
