987 maintenance light reset

My wife has a 987 (I have a 986) and the maintenance light came on a week or so ago. Counting down days and miles.

Anyone know of a way to reset that? I've read other sites that say dealer or durametric is needed. Figured I'd check here in case someone knew how. Thanks

The T-OBD over at BergvillFX may be able to do that. Send him an email and check.

Just get the durametric. It's worth it IMO.

Your intel is correct - you need a durametric type tool or the dealer.

There are some on fleabay for $150 but you have to be sure to buy one specific to resetting the service light - some don't cover that item. I've been eyeing one but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

My dealer used to clear it for me for free but they have to charge $35 now.
