stock M030 ride quality

Considering a 986 Boxster S that has (I think) the factory M030 package. Although I welcome a better handling & tighter feeling car, i want to make sure that the car is still comfortable on various road surfaces and highway driving. For those that have this, how is the ride quality? Thanks.

I commute 80 miles/day on some poor city and highway roads. The ride is quite reasonable. I haven't driven a Boxster with stock suspension so I can't compare.

I've got 40,000+ mikes on the M030 sport suspension, combo of oem struts and then koni FSD, it is great on the street.

Very livable on the street for daily driving. The M030 is only slightly stiffer than stock. Many consider the M030 to be the best of both worlds - comfort + performance. I have never heard anyone say that the M030 is too stiff or rides too harshly.

The best way to know for sure is to go drive it and see what you think for yourself.

I have....

.....put 30,000 miles on a factory M030 suspension on 18 inch wheels and it is the most perfect real world, street suspension you can imagine.

It's perfect.

Really.

Truly.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I'll be test driving it tomorrow!

I went from stock to ROW M030 in my 2003 S a couple of years ago. It is fine on both 17 and 18 inch stock wheel and tire sizes on what passes for paved roads here in Northeast NJ!

Drove it. Suspension felt great!

hate to sound like Nike!

just do it! it's a sports car, you want that tighter handling feel!

i went form stock suspension to coilovers to M030 ROW which i believe is even stiffer than regular M030 and it still feels great! it is stiff BUT i wont break your back, just gives you a slightly rawer experience.

i just took it on a 3000 mile roadtrip on unpaved mountain roads and what i've learned is that even on those it wasnt horrible, just "sports" like. even with bucket seats.

i really feel the difference in handling and that alone is worth it!
