Seat cover

I just bought a 04 base and looking to get some seat covers. My seats aren't full leather and get hot in the summer. I have looked on Amazon but nothing is really grabbing me. Can anyone recommend what they have used?

I saw the complete restoration on this Boxster and they used a Suede like material for the center inserts on the seats. Take a look at the car show video. Hope this helps. Any good upholstery Shop can do this.

I don't think that's what the OP had in mind. Out here where it gets really hot and black trim can burn you, I use a heavy beach towel in hot weather. I think you could get a new mover's blanket from Harbor Freight and bungie it to the seat back. In the past, I've slipped a heavy t-shirt over the back of the seat, it helps to reflect the heat.

When parked in the summer sun for more than a few minutes, you probably should put the roof up to protect your interior.

A friend in Winter Haven Florida uses the thick fake Sheep skin covers.

I used thick Sheep skin covers on my black interior in the 1980's. Then never bought another convertible with black interior again

We have grey interior, it is more of breathable issue than a heat issue. I'm going to look into the sheep skin seat covers. I looked at the beaded covers but they didn't get the best reviews.

I had some custom sheepskin covers made at a local shop about ten years ago. They slip over the top of the seat and run down the center leaving the side bolsters exposed. I have been very happy with them, paid about $250.
