Go Air Horns!!!

Was coming home from work and a full up semi truck did not see me as it entered the freeway and was planning crossing to the left into my lane! More than just planning, it full up entered my lane and pushed me onto the shoulder. I ended up using my superior maneuverability to hit the shoulder, floored it pulling ahead and layed on the air horns. In my rearview mirror I saw the semi swerving and pulling back into its own lane as I got back on the freeway. I heartily recommend air horns!

In cases like that, they are worth their weight in gold!

Glad you are ok!

I installed an airhorn after a similar encounter with a semi-truck on a freeway onramp. If you are taking your bumper off to clean the radiators, splicing an airhorn onto the existing horn wiring and wiring it to the battery isn't very hard. I recommend a compact one, especially if you have a third radiator. Plus, if you leave the existing horns you can still beep someone before the airhorn triggers.

I installed mine when cleaning the rads. Further, I installed a push button on the console and had my sound guy wire it up separate from the steering wheel horn.

Works great.

This is what I purchased. The price is right.
