Power Steering Pump Pulley Removal The power steering pump pulley is misaligned on my 1999 Boxster. It causes the serp belt to ride on the edge of the pulley. I suspect the pulley was installed backward on the last repair at the Dealer. I need to remove and flip the power steering pump pulley. I tried to remove the three bolts on the pulley but was unable to turn them loose. Does anyone have any instructions and suggestions for removing the power steering pump pulley? - Are these bolts left or right hand turn? - Torque spec? Thanks |

Hello - take a look at the link below to an earlier thread where this is discussed. Hope this helps you a bit. http://986forum.com/forums/boxster-general-discussions/29323-power-steering-pump-removal-installation.html |

I used a boa constrictor to hold the pulley in place, worked great for me |

Easiest way is an impact gun. Comes right off, no need to hold anything but belt tension, if even that. You can use a batt operated one. I don't remember the torque, but they are not crazy tight. Righty Tighty, Lefty Loosey. |
