So a hobo slept in my parts S...

And managed to get the power drivers seat to fully lean back. The electric seat has been inop since I got the car (flood car) and the seat has been sitting in the car unbolted because I couldn't move it forward/backward or recline.

Somehow they got the seat leaned back almost flat (the rear of the seat is lifted off the floor) and I can't get the seat to go back.

Is there some way to manually move the seat or did the electrics somehow magically decide to work long enough for someone to lean the seat back?

Does anyone know any tricks or have any suggestions as to how to get the seat back into a normal position?

Have you considered that the hobo simply forced the seat into that position? Have you checked to see if it is broken?

Definitely considered that. Seems like it would take a lot of force, but I guess it must be possible since ultimately you're just overcoming the motor I suppose?

Have a look under the seat (assuming that you can get it out), and Hotwire the motor directly. Seems worth a shot anyway. Be careful not to get your hands caught anywhere!
