2003 Shift knob

Looking for an easy solution to replace the stock shift knob on a 2003 S. The stock knob rubber/plastic slips out of my hand when shifting into 3rd and it’s driving me crazy. Any ideas? From what I have ready it’s replace the whole knob and boot or nothing.

The Rennline shift knobs are quite popular and should feel more comfortable. I've included a link below, please let us know if you have any other questions.

You can get a knob and boot pretty inexpensively. An Alcantara GT3 one will not slip and is a 5 min install. If you go the FF or Rennline route, you will need to do some minor surgery on your current boot to get a clean look and timing the FF knob to be tight and straight takes a bit of patience with the wavy washer and lock nut. I loved the look of the FF but sold it as it is solid metal and got hot as F- in the sun.

If you don't mind replacing the whole thing, can recommend these as a relatively cheap and good quality option ... https://www.ebay.com/itm/ICT-shift-gear-knob-gaiter-leather-Porsche-Boxster-Typ-986-illuminated-LED-B-42-/371596040481?hash=item5684d99921&_uhb=1
