Smile Best way 2 check heater proper operation?

My '02 heater operates but it seems to me that I have a problem. If I put the temp way up to test it, the air does not seem to be all that hot. The coolant is full.

Has anybody got a good way that I can test to know that it is working? Obviously, I've got a few months to work this out. Thanks in advance, Tom

dont think there's any test besides putting it on full blast but i might be wrong.

you might have this issue with the foam inside the vents falling apart, very common:

i never got around to opening the dash to fix it, i rarely need to use the heater in FL so it's easy to live with.

one thing i did notice is the air coming out is hotter if i turn off the AC completely, manually from the button, climate control wont automatically do it and since the flaps inside the vents have holes in them the cold and hot air mix. with that trick i'm pretty happy during the winter here, gets nice and "cozy" without melting my shoes.
