So I hadn’t checked the frunk properly after all. Spotted an oily patch behind the battery, a blue pipe being culprit. A friendly facebooker (aka etsy) has pointed out it’s a clutch related pipe too, probably a dodgy seal.

My 101 Projects Book is now directing me to the clutch master cylinder - hopefully that will resolve it
