My car is back with a makeover :)

I picked up my car yesterday after having some body work done. Here are some photos of the new GT3 nose, side skirts and painted rear bumperettes.
What do you think?

I like it. The body mods are a little too subtle for me but it looks nice Atleast you are not stock looking anymore

Thanks! I wanted a subtle, yet different look. I think the side skirts definitely give these cars a nice, sporty touch.
Too bad there is frozen rain coming down in the pics cause it kills the detail job.

So much for causing an imbalance if you do not put on the rear wing.
What is that white stuff on the ground. Looks almost like sand.

			Jeff,
That white stuff is by now covered with a thin sheet of ice. The perks of living in NYC!
BTW, I hate rear wings. They make the car look like a ricer boy Civic IMHO. I don't think changing a bumper and adding skirts will change any stability on the car. What do you think?

Looks good stryke. Subtle, yet nice and different. Who painted your bumperettes? Was it Eric the plug guy?

No. I was going to send it to him and then I went to the shop locally to have all the work done so I told them to do it while the paint is in the gun. No extra charge!
BTW, if anyone in the NY/NJ area needs work done, I strongly recommend Tommy and George at Daytona Cosmocar in Long Island City. You can find them at www.daytonacosmocar.com .

They are BMW and Porsche authorized and do all the body and paint work for Manhattan Motorcars. They always have celebrity cars there as well as real nice Lambo's, Ferrari's, P-Cars and Bentley's.

I asked the plug guy why I shouldn't just get mine painted at a local shop and he said that they use a special blend of paint that is more suited to adhereing to the rubber bumperettes. I thought maybe it was a line of b.s. but I can also see where that may hold water. If any problems with the bumerpettes surface, let us know.

I was told the same thing by Eric from bumperplugs.com. I asked Tommy at Daytona and looking at the cars they do (they had a 360 spyder, Bentley, Murcielago and Aretha Franklin's Range Rover there) and his assurance that it will be done right made me go for it. I'll let you know if I have a problem.
They also use genuine Porsche paint.

I need wheel opinions. I want to buy some new wheels next week. Should I order the Techart Formula's in silver 18" or go for the Porsche Sport Techno's in 18"?

Well, I am alittle biased, but I think you can't get much better than the new 18" carrera wheel. They really seem to look good on the boxster. I have had lots of positive feedback about them. They even save 24lbs over the stock 17"s!!

Well, I have the 18" Turbo Twists which I am selling, and I've narrowed it down to the two I mentioned above. Techart Formula's in Silver or Sport Techno's. Just having a hard time choosing which one.

			Ok, sorry for bad pics.
First is the Sport Techno's on a stock car without my Aero Kit:

Next is the Tech Art Formula's on a black car with the same body kit as mine:

I prefer the Porsche Carrera 18" over both second choice would be BBS CH 4 The pictures left me confused. Why was the license plate blotted out when you can always see them in your picture logo?

The one in my logo is no longer my license plate. Besides, I posted it on a non Porsche forum once and didn't want my plates revealed there.
Anyways, I am definitely going with one of the two I have here but not sure which one yet.

First I just want to say "Hi" since I am new to the site and that your car looks awesome. I love the body kit.
As for the wheels, I have always been partial to the 18" Turbo II's for some reason or another, but if I had to choose between the given choices, I would definitely go with the TechArt over the Sport Techno's. The Sport Techno's don't look good on many boxsters up close. At least not the ones that I have seen. Plus they cover up more of the awesome, red porsche calipers which are a must see.

			Hey Stryke,
My wheels are actually the same as yours the Turbo 2's. I am upgrading mine hopefully by this summer with some ATS center locking hub racing wheels. No more lug nuts for me!
Out of the two choices you have shown above I actually like the first ones more, The Sport Technos. Seems to me the Tekart ones look like stock wheels to the new Jeep Rubicon. The Sport Technos I think keep that classic look for the Porsche.
...my 2 cents...

I should add that the Techart Formulas have a 25mm offset in the rear which makes them slightly stick out and line up nicely with the side skirt. Here is a great photo:
