Military time
I bought my 2000 S from a retired military gentleman and according to him he had a Porsche dealer change the clock to military time and he said it takes a dealer to change it back to normal time. Is this this true?

Wow...I've got a 2000S and have never heard of this. Hopefully, someone will chime in with some good info!

There is a DIY that you can use to change some of the display F/C, 12/24, MPH/KM. I will post a link if I can find it.

My understanding is that if your Boxster has the fourth steering column stalk to access the OBC (on board computer), then you can change the clock back to a 12 hour format by yourself.
If you have no access to the OBC, then a PST2 (or PIWIS tester) is required to set it back to a 12 hour format. A Porsche dealer can certainly perform this service, at a cost (usually outrageous), or an indie shop should do it much cheaper. In fact, if you have a good relationship with your indie, he just may do it for free. Just sayin'........... TO |
The MOH to KM on the digital display can be changed by pressing and holding either the clock set button or the trip reset button. I just cant remember which one it is, been awhile since i did it.

It's just the Euro/US clock setting, I believe you change it by holding down the clock set knob. I have done it in the past, it doesn't require a dealer.
