Clock knob graphic

What-ho Boxster Pundits!

My first post, so be kind.

Has anybody else noticed that the knob that changes the clock time in our beloved mode is a bit unusual?

It could be just me noticing this, but every clock graphic or logo you will see just about anywhere shows the time of 10 to 2 (or perhaps 10 past 10). Just about any watch ad will show this time in photos too - it's kind of a "done thing". A friend who trained as a window dresser (yes, really) says it's so the clock is smiling. Just naturally appealing I guess...

So why did Porsche designers who know their eggs (and watches) go with a logo that shows the time as 5 to 3? Does it memorialise the time of Ferdinand's death perhaps?

I have commemorated this oddity in my avatar.
