Window constantly fogging up

Hello fellow 986 drivers.
So suddenly since last night, my windshield/window started fogging up from the inside, and I couldn't get it to stop no matter how I played around with the AC.
When I turned on the de-fog button (Not sure if correct name), I was even able to see steam coming out from passenger side AC. I think I smelled the sweet coolant smell too.
I googled around a bit, and I saw some people with similar issue saying the heater core needs to be replaced. Does this sound right to you guys?

Thanks!

If you smell anti-freeze/coolant coming out of your vents inside the car and your windows are fogging up, then yes, it sounds like you have a heater core leak.

Don't freak out though - unlike many other cars, access to the heater core is a breeze...

Search the forums or Google "Boxster heater core replacement" and you'll find procedures on how to replace it. There's also a good write-up with pictures on Pedro's board here:

Re: Heater Core Replacement - Cost? Diagrams? DIY?

Hope this helps!

Another possible answer is excessive moisture inside the car...check under your seats to see if carpet is wet. Obviously, if you are sure you smell coolant, than this isn't the problem.

Awesome. I'm gonna order Heater Core from Pelican and try to replace it over the weekend.
Thank you!
