Years vs. Miles?
 

When looking at a used car, Porsche or anything, would you opt for fewer years on the car, or fewer miles on it?

Take for example a 2003 with 30k miles. Or a 2004 with 50k miles. All else equal, what would you pick?

well im trying to sell my boxster its a 99 with only 12thousand miles so i hope the buyers are looking for low miles.

In this case the 03 looks better if all else really is equal. The 03 and 04 are pretty much the same. Make the 03 an 02 and I'd take the glass rear window.

Overall I'd take the best car I could afford with the records to back up servicing.

The difference in the two cars is 1 year or 20,000 miles. The 2003 is clearly the better choice, if, as you say, all else is equal.

I can't see a reason to get the 04+miles over the 03. I sure would like to have a glass rear window.... Sigh.....
