Tiptronic and engine mount

Recently purchased an '04 S that currently has 108,400 mi. on it. The PO performed all of the Porsche recommended maintenance but had never replaced the water pump. No issues with it right now, but I will be replacing it along with the t-stat as a reliability mod.
My question is this - my '02 base with manual trans. had all the classic symptoms of a bad engine mount so it was a no brainer replacing it when I replaced the t-stat and failed water pump. What are the symptoms of a bad engine mount on a tip? Currently there are no vibrations and no issues shifting.
I realize it's a simple process to replace along with the WP but I could use the $170 on another repair or upgrade.

Thanks,

If you want to save cash just buy a new bush and press it in. It can be more than $30.

That's what I did. Silly to buy a whole new piece when the only thing that goes wrong is the bushing. I forget what I paid for the bush, the shop that removed the old torn up one & installed the new bushing charged $30.

Symptoms of a rotten motor mount is a clunk when you accelerate and a clunk when you decellerate. On mine the inner part of the bushing was completely torn away from the outer. Only 74K miles on mine.
