None of the speakers work

I mentioned this in the new member section but I thought I should re post here. I got a Boxster at the auction and everything is working except the speakers. Non of them work. The radio turns on and the cd player works, it displays a Porsche logo and even lets you adjust all the settings but no sound comes out of the speakers. I checked the little fuses and they seam to be fine. Is it the amp possibly? are there other relays or fuses somewhere else I'm missing? i noticed there is some square looking relays under the dash. Maybe it's one of those? Any help or ideas would be appreciated

Welcome to the forum.
I would first inspect the connections on the amp.
I'm assuming it's the CDR 23 stock radio and Bose Amp?
I don't think that any of the relays will have an effect on it, just the fuses.
I haven't worked on those much, but someone else should be along shortly...
Meanwhile, have a look through these:

Not sure on you stereo details but the car from your vid was hit in the front end, I would check the amp connection make sure it didn't get broke loose when the car was hit. Or could be that it was damaged from the collision. Good luck, if you were already up and running would be a great excuse to upgrade the sound system. :D

Check the fuse on the amp.

Where is the fuse on the amp, I looked around it and can't find it? And yes, it's the Bose amp and I think it's CDR 23 radio

As particlewave mentioned the radio also supplies power to the amp. I encountered the same issue when I installed a replacement CDR220 in one of my cars. I had missed connecting the power supply wire to the amp from the radio. Everything worked, but no sound...just like you. Check the fuse on the amp and also check that all the wires from the radio are connected.

Is there any other fuses on the amp other than the 15amp fuse in the fuse box?

My 03 with bose had the exact same problem. Was told to unhook the battery for a minute then hook it back. Fixed it.
