Rear speaker connection

I just finished installing rear speakers DIY style to the rear shelve. I however do not know how or where to connect the speakers to. I believe some cars came with a plug at or near the role bar, but my car does not seem to have such a plug. I've looked behind and around the role bar both left and right. (My car is a RH). At the left side there is a wire going to some sensor I believe to be for the roof. This was the only plug I could find.

2001 Boxster S with Haes 4x40w amp in frunk. I only have the 2 dash spkrs currently.

I attach a photo of the shelve, and the back of my radio, CDR 220.

Any advice as to where to connect the rear spkr wires to?

The plug by the driver's side roll bar (LHD) is the rear window defroster for a hardtop or glass window soft top. There is no rear speaker wiring near the roll bar, you have to route the wires yourself from the roll bar to the back of the head unit.

I think I will have to wire the spkrs directly to the Haes M490 amplifier. Anyone have the pins I need to connect the wires to?

I replaced the 4 channel amp with a 6 channel amp from a 996 cabrio. here is a link to explain this approach. Also, I wired up 6 speakers to my rear deck. I replaced the stock CDR with a DD Chinese unit.

Rear Shelf Speakers. Need part number for blades

Hi everyone, got my rear shelf speakers installed and the cable run from them
to the front of the vehicle. All set to plug them in with the provided connector
but, my radio has the brown connector in that spot which powers the dash
speakers. No problem, just remove the ends from the supplied connector and
insert them into the factory connector right? Wrong. The ends on the Becker
supplied harness has larger ends than the factory ones and won't fit in the
factory connector.

Anyone know a part number to get the ends that WILL fit the factory brown
connector (Becker CDR-220).???

I don't know the part number. I suggest that you send a text to Woody at 512-925-9171 and tell him what you need. He has helped me out with this type of need several times in the past.

Good luck
