Front End Noise when hard turning

I have started hearing and feeling a rumble noise from the front end when going in a hard turn. What could this be? I am going to replace my brake pads today so I would like to know what I should inspect while I'm in there. Thanks for any advice.

With the pads out listen to the wheel bearings as you freely spin them. The sound you describe while turning indicates to me that a wheel bearing is starting to protest

Definitely a wheel bearing.

OK great I'll look and update thread when I find out. Thank's for the advise.

I took my front pads out and found a back plate inserted behind the pads. Do I re use it buy new ones or just go in with new pads minus the anti squeal backing plate?

I always reused mine by cleaning them off, spraying some anti-squeal spray on the backs of the pads, re-insert the backing plates into the pistons and then slide the pads down into the slot.

With the wheels off and brake pads out should there be any play with the rotor?

the rotor, if it still has its retaining screws, should not move laterally. If it moves when you grab it and rock it back and forth (obviously not the steering moving), then you have a bad wheel bearing.

OK that's it then rear drivers side will check the rest when front brakes come in. Thanks!
