Jӓgermobile Gone
Well, it's been a sad day. I traded the Jӓgermobile in for another car. Over 304,000 miles on my Base 2001 Boxster. I can say, without a doubt, it was the best car I have ever owned.

Whaaaaaat?
What other car? What car could possibly be a replacement? |
Whaaaat? How sad.
|
Okay, what did you get?
Inquiring minds need to know! |
Sad day indeed :(
|
Indeed, sad to see you leave us. I'll miss your post and high mileage accomplishments. I hope your next car treats you as well as the Boxster did!
|
Noooo...not the iconic Jägermobil
:( a sad day "May the miles be with it" I wonder what else could be worth the trade? Iconic Spyder 987/981, maybe? |
Inspiring! Kept factory specs all 300K Miles?
|
Really sad to see our favorite high mileage boxster leave!
|
Wow. That musta been tough. Don't know that I could have done it, not with 304k on the clock.
Once traded in my DD/winter vehicle, a Camry, with 200k on it. But a Boxster with over 300K? Can't really be compared---they're not even in the same ball park. |
I hope it goes to a good owner.
Alot of us are in a similar ballpark even though we don't have the same kind of mileage on our cars. I see base Boxsters for sale now for $3-$4K....not garage queens but I'll bet they have a lot of life left. Coming from Fiat and Alfas back in the day (still have an '84 Alfa), Boxsters are such great cars compared to older cars. I get the fever for something newer or maybe different and will probably pull the trigger one day. Every time I look, I just don't see the newer cars I look at, and their $10K-15K price difference, to be $10K-$15K better. My car is getting toward the bottom of its depreciation curve. It is still great and owes me nothing. All that being said, I get it. Sometimes its just time to move on. |

Same color combination...Single owner.... Clean, Clean, Clean! I could not pass this one up. I want to thank the previous owner for taking such great care of this Boxster. The seats had seat cover, the leather is like new. The floor mats had clear plastic floor mats covering them. A few nice upgrades to include short shift and after market exhaust that I still have to investigate to see what it is... Sure sounds good. Quote -Chuck W. Indeed, sad to see you leave us. Congrats on the upgrade!

Very nice Jager. I am sure this one will be just as good.

Different wheels, but otherwise you now basically have my car (with about 16k fewer miles). Looks beautiful. Welcome back to the Old Grey Boxster Club!
How you liking those extra ponies behind your seat?? |
Outstanding. Only those that know Boxsters will even know you got a new car. I am looking forward to seeing the miles pile up on this one too!
