Thinking of an alignment.
My Boxster's alignment is due for a makeover. I know before I take it in I should have a full tank of gas. What else? Does anyone have that chart from Porsche of the specs for an alignment?
|
About that time, heh? I just had mine done not too long ago, and it did help, was getting a bit of understeer.....Lot better now!
Heres the specs for a 2000, I think it should be the same for your '99.....courtesy of deliriousga http://986forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4310&highlight=alignment+settings A decent shop should have the Boxster specs tho.... |
If it is near that time, new tires are now something to consider.
If not, I would rebalance the tires while you have it at the shop. Check for bent rims etc. |
Should you always get an alingment when getting new tires?
|
Yes. Laser, four wheel alignment is my preference. Far better than the older method.

Firestone lifetime alignment
Hey guys and gals,
For those of you that have gotten the "Lifetime Alignment" from Firestone... how good is it? Do they use the proper equipment and do it properly on the Boxsters? Thanks :) |
I would wait a week or so after getting the new tires before getting an alignment....This gives the car a little time to get used to the different dynamics of your new tires.....
