Doors won't lock, lights don't turn off

Hi all!

I am currently having an issue with my doors not locking and the interior lights staying on. When I attempt to lock the doors with either the fob or in the door, the doors sound like they attempt to lock but don't, and the car beeps twice. The lock button on the dash does nothing, no light. I found that if I turn the key in the door and hold it, the driver door will lock but not the passenger door. If I turn the key 3 times, the driver door locks, the horn beeps once, but the passenger door still does not lock. I have replaced both door mechanisms, gas cap has a new lock, oddments compartment securely shut, new ignition switch, and I even replaced the lock button on the dash. I also had the central lock module checked by a Porsche specialist, and they said everything looks fine, no water damage. I'm am not sure what else I can check, without spending hundreds on the Durametric scanner or taking to a dealer. Any new ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!

Update: decided to splurge and get the Durametric. I am receiving the following error codes for the alarm system:

46 - control locking synchronization
60 - central locking limit position lock not reached
58 - tank servo motor not energized despite relay activation

Answers I have found regarding these codes have been rather vague and not very helpful. Does anyone have an idea as to the culprit for these codes? Thank you!

There are most likely intermittent codes. Clear them and see if they come back.

Sounds to me like the car thinks the passenger door is open. Likely a bad switch in the door latch mechanism. You said you replaced both, but are you sure they were both good? What about the door harness connectors in the door jambs (corrosion, bad connection)?

Thank you for the reply @particlewave! I had originally suspected the passenger door since the lights stay on and there was no way for me to get it to lock. I don't have any issues with the window not dropping or going back up, and the lock sounds like it's trying to lock. I will take a look at the door harness connectors tomorrow and give an update. Thanks again.

Isn't this a discussion forum?

To which discussion forum did you move this thread? Would it be the same forum, on another posting, that led me to your "how to" page?

Thank you.

You posted in the introduction section of the forum, so I have moved it to the discussion section where it is now. Same forum, just a different section- meant for your type of question.
