HID Headlight ID

So I am having an intermittent driver's side low beam headlight issue. Every so often, it won't light up. The high beams both work, but take some time and sometimes set the low voltage light on the dash. I've had the car for 18 months and have had the issue with both lowbeams not lighting up, and have replaced the dash switch and it fixed the problem, until now. I pulled the light out and opened up the cover to find this:

Looks like an an aftermarket kit. Does anyone recognize this?
Is this bulb replaceable?

BTW, which one is the low beam?

The low beam is the one on top. That is an aftermarket kit and the bulb is replaceable.

You can either replace the HID or go back to halogen. If you want to keep the HID, you need to determine if the problem is the bulb or ballast (it's usually the ballast).

Edit: it looks like someone installed HIDs into both the high and low beam sockets and did a poor job. If it were me, I'd ditch all that crap and go back to halogen.
