My kids picked this one. For those who don't have kid's, this was Lightning McQueen's sponsor in the latest Disney movie Cars

[QUOTE=Bateman]If I had the money (I'm still paying the car off!) I'd get a license plate that read "MYPRSH" or "BOXSTR" just to spite everyone that ever gave me crap about my old car (1995 Acura Integra - needed LOTS of work done to it) - and believe me when I say that I got hassled by EVERYONE about my car. What would your vanity plate say?

In PA vanity plates are cheap. $20 one time fee.

I got mine in 2000 and have transferred it from one autox car to another. It reads 4SOLO2. I should probably change it to 4SOLO or 4AX

Oh

In Ohio it's $35 extra every year. Right now mine reads "PORSCHE" and I think I'll keep it.

Nice pair ...

When I was standing in line to get my plates - I eventually recogonized the tall blonde in front of me. She drives a convertible mercedes and is the owner of the local college sex shop. I suggested I get "BOX TOY" and she get "TOY BOX".

Only in TX

Years ago, I was in Austin at UT and was driving down I-35 and saw a Mercedes SL Convertible with a gorgous blond driving, she had a huge smile on her face and the plates said: BENWAH.....it as just great!!! My friend and I laughed about it for days, but wish we were crusing with her too....

I initially wanted vanity plates but opted not to, to avoid unwanted attentions and haters.

Luckily I didn't get vanity plates...

BUT if I lived in a nicer area, I would want vanity plates

GRINGO

On another note I debadged today. I am going to make a sticker that says "Eat ****************" in the same font. Most people here have no idea what the car is so they walk up to it and I often (like 10 times a day) hear someone say either "Boxster" or "Porsche" out loud. It is going to be hilarious to hear people say "Eat ****************" and then go home and tell their friends they saw a really nice car with model name "Eat ****************".

Smile You think that's expensive...

Here in Victoria, Australia, a custom plate costs $500 AUD, that's $395 USD. At least you don't have to pay for it every year.

If you want just 3 numbers (e.g. 986) or two letters (e.g. FP), the price is around $1000. If you can get one. I saw the plate 239 auctioned a few weeks ago for $70,000.

And did I mention we can be fined for doing 3kmh over the limit?

Registering a sportscar here is akin to cruelty. Luckily they can't police all the roads all of the time ;-)

Anyway, I've been looking at the authority's website to register one, which has rules to prevent you registering plates that might be offensive.

So...

You can't have BLK-BOX or LRG-COK
But you can have SML-COK
Funny that.
