Why is it so difficult?
Based upon what great cars they are and how much people seem to like them, why is it so difficult to sell a Boxster?
|
There is an old saying, I think it goes like this: 'A Little knowledge is a dangerous thing". In this case many people have heard about the IMS issue and they stop right there. They haven't looked further into it and all the fixes available and the costs involved. So they don't shop for a Boxster.
This is good news for an educated buyer but not so good for someone selling. Me? Well I bought mine fully aware of the situation and I plan on keeping it possibly forever. Another thing, there were over 160,000 Boxster 986's sold so there are a lot of them out there resulting in a glut. By comparison there were only about 100,000 Honda S20000's made and they are impossible to find. |
