Frunk problems

A few weeks ago, I posted about my frunk not releasing.

http://986forum.com/forums/boxster-general-discussions/68047-frunk-wont-release.html

Well I adjusted the latch and was able to get the frunk open and closed although it never "popped up" when I pressed the unlock button like I used to. Today, I was able to open it and load some groceries in the frunk. I tried to close it like normal. Ease it down until the first latch clicks and the press on the Porsche badge until the second click. The second click never happened. While driving home, I had a warning light that one of the trunks was open.

I got home and opened the frunk. I removed the groceries and tried to close it. I can only get it to close to the first click. I cannot press on the hood and get the second click.

Do I need to replace the latch mechanism, the solenoid or both?

How hot is it? I had a similar problem on a AX day when the frunk got really hot. When it cooled down it started working again. I have lubiucated it with lithium grease and now everything works as it should.

Have you tried adjusting the rubber bumpers. There are two - located on each side of the of the front edge of the hood. Turn them all the way to the right and see if that gives enough clearance for the hood to latch. There is some up and down adjustability in the latch assy. You may need to raise the latch assy. for the hood to latch completely.
