2000 boxster base best wheel/tire sizes
I'm a new owner of a 2000 boxster base. I would like to know the maximum wheel and tire size that would fit without any rubbing on turns and bumps under the fenders. I'm really not in to the paper thin tires that can break the air beads at the slightest drop in tire pressure, but an all around good tire/wheel size for performance. A little offset on the rear wheels (I think) always looks cool but not a deal breaker. I'm trying to nail down the sizes and then work on cosmetic choices of wheel styles. Comments welcomed.

The 17's are actually fine, but the 18's yield a more aggressive look without going to crazy thin sidewalls. 987 S models came with 19's so those stock wheels are available as well.

35 series on the rear of the 18's is pretty thin but holds up good and I have not had any issue yet.

I have a set of 18" Turbo Twists (wheels only) for $750.00 as an option if you decide to move up. See pics at the search "For Sale 18 Turbo Twists" by Ciao
