Too much? Too little?

Finally quit messing around and bought a sheet of red leather and started over on my adding color to my interior project. Remove everything I did before.

Overdone?

Thought about doing the console but it would be a job and might be too much red.

Very tasteful IMHO. I've always been a fan of the Techart style of interior color accents. And wrapping them yourself with leather (or whatever) is even better cause you can try them out first. The only thing you might consider with such a bright color is where your arms and hands will rest as those areas will dirty up faster than the black.

It's taken me a long time but I've learned that what really matters is whether or not you like it. The important thing is whatever you choose to do on your car, do it well. Keep up the good work.

I think this looks very well done and definitely not too much. Just enough to give it a nice look. It would be cool if you were able to stitch 986 in the seat backs in read - maybe a future project. Good job.

Maybe the shifter insert painted to match would be a nice touch. Red piping on the seat back inserts would tie in the seats. Perhaps a touch of red on the gauge pod somewhere...nothing too over the top, though. It can get out of hand quickly.

Those look so great. I want to do some more, it's addictive, but I'm afraid I couldn't get close to those results. I did order a rollbar cover like you have and after It's painted and on I thought I might wrap the inside RB padding with the red leather too. I'm sure you had to have a shop add the piping to the seats. I think mine would look good in red. I might look into that.

Did it all myself.
The center console, shift knob and piping are all leather.

Yours looks great. Like I said, a little something on the seats and a bit more in the dash area would tie in nicely.

My favorite piece is the dashboard trim creating a horizontal split. What was involved in removing those pieces?

If you have a glovebox it's no big deal. Remove it for that side, remove gauge pod for the others. No big deal. If you have no box I guess it a major headache. You have to disassemble a lot of the dash to get to the bolts. Some break them off and buy a used set.
