A/C Evaporator Box (03' Boxter S)

The a/c evaporator box has lost it's foam, so condensation builds up and drips when the a/c is on for long periods. I've been quoted upwards of $2,500 to fix it as it's very labor intensive.. anyone out there have any insight into any alternate repair options?

Thanks in advance!

Drips are most likely a problem with the drain:

(Make sure it's connected and clear it by blowing air from underneath.)

Loss of foam is usually from the flaps by the heater core. This whole thread is good info. My solution starts in post #37
