Is there an easy way? Front bumper -> Cables -> Frunk -> inside
 

...I am actually looking for an easy route...to get my 4 front-"back-up"-sensor cables to my "center console, inside". Most interesting: How to get them inside
Or do I have to take my car apart for that? :eek:

To clarify, are you trying to route a cable from the front bumper to the center console?

The easiest way is to route the cables through the firewall rubber grommets. You will need to go through three firewalls. First remove the bumper (you may be able to avoid this if you can reach down through the small opening below the headlight when it is removed, but that would be a very tight fit), then remove the plastic screw/caps that hold the passenger/left side of the front trunk carpet in. Pull the carpet back and look for a rubber grommet, that is the first one.

Route the cables under the front trunk carpet to where the factory CD change would be installed. You will find another grommet there to exit the front trunk and enter the cowl area with the battery. The last grommet is on the driver side/right, low and behind the battery. This grommet will exit into the upper driver's footwell, and from there you can route the cables to the center console. This grommet is covered by insulation inside the car, so you will have to make a small tear in the insulation. Push a small screwdriver through to help you find where the cable will exit inside the car.

Make a tint x shaped incision in the grommets to push the cables through, and I would recommend putting some sealant around the cuts when you finish to ensure everything stays water tight. Best of luck! :cheers:

A very detailed description!

I am not finsihed yet, but managed to get to firewall #2.
I wonder, where firewall #3 ends up inside? :eek:
Here are a few pics I took, showing the route, I am taking now (with the help of Rick3000 & 101 projects books: project 85).

Project finished.
- loosened the battery, shifted it to the left, to have easier access to the 3rd firewall rubber grommet.
- checked with a "hanger" wire, where the cables would enter the cabin (straight above the gas pedal).
- popped the rubber grommet out and pushed the cables through and put the grommet back into place (I stood in the frunk doing that, as it is the best place to access the grommet).

So the 4 sensor cables, two an each side, went:
1.) alongside the head lights (pulled them out and routed the cables alongside/below the head light mounting mechanism)
2.) through the 1st firewall inside the frunk (several cable ducts available right next to the head lights)
3.) alongside and fitted under the rubber sealing
4.) 2nd firewall
5.) behind the battery
6.) 3rd fire wall to cabin
