Stupid question of the hour ...
If I remove the coolant top and hear a hiss (on a cold automobile) does that mean it has to be pressurized/vacuum again? That's all I did. I swear.
Thanks!

is a little condensation normal? It looks like they 'plan' for it by having a rubber seal close around it .... ?

I'd be concerned that you have a snake in your Boxster.

Mine got quite a few and I'm quite happy with it. The top/trunk matting seal revels it is normal and expected (as per design). I know nothing about porsche coolant, just glad 'some' of the pressure can escape somewhere I can trace back and keep an eye on from time to time

First couple weeks of Boxster ownership had condensation in trunk...no issues anymore. Owned about two years now.

Make sure you have the newest PN cap. It stops the condensation.

I have the original cap. Does Pelican sell the replacement?

If you have condensation, you likely have a bad/crossthreaded cap or vent valve seal issues.
both easy cheap fixes

On other cars I've had, pressure escaping out the cooling system when opened *stone cold* is a sign of a head gasket leak.
Not sure why a water cooled Porsche engine would be any different, but if so, perhaps someone can explain the physics involved.
