Frunk keeps opening

Over the last week, the frunk has started unlatching while driving. Just the unlatch as if the release switch had been pressed - not fully open, of course. I hop out, press it down to latch, and motor on - and it will do it again later down the road.

I've checked for obstructions, have fully opened and closed it several times, yet the random unlatch keeps happening. Car hasn't been hit, and it only started doing this recently. Anyone have this happen, and what did you do to fix it?

(Car is a 2003 Boxster S)

TIA!

When this happened to me once, I found sand/dirt jammed in the frunk release button (the button in the door sill) that inadvertently popped the hood when I went over a bump. Blew it out with air and no more problem.

Frank...

Is there a fuse for the trunk switch you can pull to determine if it is a faulty switch? If so i'd pull the fuse and see if the problem goes away.

@Boxtaboy - Yep! That was it.

@MW - Autocorrect 'fixed' Frunk to Frank. (I have edited it back.)

Thanks for the help!

I had something similar happen today at the PCA NER Autocross. When I drove over to the start gate I would put my emergency blinkers on to signal that I wanted an instructor. The first two times the trump popped open and I had to hump out and push it closed again. Both times it popped open again when on the course. I also suspect some sand or gravel in the release button. After messing with it it didn't happen again.
