Really loud creak

My front right suspension has always had a bit of creek to it but I just noticed today that it has gotten really really bad. To the point that it creeks even from just turning the wheel. All 4 other tires are fine but up and down travel on the front right leads to a very loud creek. What should I do about this?

"All 4 other tires..."

There's your problem! You have an extra tire on your car! :)

Seriously though, I would have someone push down on that front right fender while you stick your head in the wheel well to localize where the sound is coming from (top of strut, strut, lower control arm, etc).

My guess would be LCA bushing. My 01S had the same issue on the left side. New bushing took care of it.

Time for a new lower control arm!

You may find the dust boot for that ball joint is worn allowing water and dirt in
You could try spraying WD40 in the boot
That may quite it down temporarily but still will need replacing

Or you could try a lithium grease so you actually lubricate it. ;)

Got under and lubricated. Car seems to ride smoother and the noise while not gone is back to a similar level that it always used to be.

Did you check the sway bar link ?
DW40 may last a few days or until it rains.

Condition of the Dust boots?
Did you have to cut a hole or are there tears?
I did the spray lube for a year or so but eventually the lower control arms needed replacement. It took 6 month just to finally get TRW parts. I don't think they're out there any more

If a ball joint is creaking that bad it could blow out on you. Get it fixed!!!
