Can Someone Help Me Identify These Wheels??

Alright so these are the wheels that came with my Boxster when I bought it, however they have been sitting in my garage for a year now since I immediately replaced them with some after market BBS wheels. I am considering selling them now but can't figure out exactly what type of wheel they are. I've heard turbo twists but I guess some are hollow and some are not? Anyways, can someone tell me what exactly they are and how much I could expect to get for them? They have about 65k miles on them and are in good condition.http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1494182871.jpg

Standard solid spoke Turbo Twists.

Thanks Particle Wave. What about standard asking price? I have a couple people asking after them and want to know what to take for them (ball park at least)

What are the numbers on the inside

Not sure how you could tell. I dont see part numbers under all the grime. Do you? I ask because they are solid spoke but without 993 xxx or other numbers they could be knockoffs

The numbers are definitely 993 and the sizes are 18x7.5 and 18x9. I'll obviously clean them up better before selling but I'm just trying to figure out what to ask

Check CL in your area. Out here you can get sets of these all day for a few hundred dollars.

400 is about what you can expect. More luck selling local than having shipping charges on top

What are the offsets? I have a set like them but 18x 7.5 et 52 and 18 x 10 et 65 which came off my 996. 18 x 9 may have been on boxster just wondering what the offset is. I cant run the 996 wheels on boxster without a 25mm spacer. I dont think Ive run across these in 9 inch before

Wow, I already had someone offer me 750$ for them so 400 seems a bit low

particlewave 05-08-2017 10:03 AM

Take that $750 and run :D
They go for as low as $300. I've seen perfect sets go for $700, but I wouldn't count on it.
Not saying you couldn't get more with the right buyer, but these are not high dollar wheels.

And this is what I needed to know, great thanks

Yeah take the 750. These wheels aren't exactly rare but worth at least$ 750.

Shawn...were can I get a set of these for a few hundred?

Wow to those prices. Maybe 10 years ago I bought a set of 17" take-offs from a Porsche dealer in upscale Philly. They had stock Michelins PS2s with about 100 miles on them. Mold marks still sticking up. And I bet I didn't pay $800 for the set with original and perfect balancing. But I'll bet there are lots more sets floating around by now with accidents and upgrades and even the racing and snow tires interests must not have absorbed them.

I see them pop up on CL all the time. You can't always find a set, but if you check a couple times a week and put in a nice, wide search area (include Philly, NJ, Harrisburg, NYC), something will absolutely pop up.

Here's a set of chrome twists for $600: https://newjersey.craigslist.org/wto/6113386876.html

Here's a set of twists for who knows what price, but probably cheap: https://newjersey.craigslist.org/bar/6112084463.html

I saw a set of Panamera 19s with snow tires for $400 a few days ago. Gone now.
