Death by sweepers

I have noticed that there have been issues before with the m96 and sweeping corners.

Another one dead in the journey of the "cheapest 996 for sale in America.":ah:

Granted I think the owner in the video was a fool for driving the car over and over again after having issues, however, my concern is with the initial problem. Is this something all owners of the m96 should be conscious of?

Jake

There was another thread where this was discussed.

Ah, the apollo's final journey. I thought it was a great story. He's not the normal porsche owner who hears a small creek and has the car trailered home. It was a bit refreshing I thought. He is a funny guy for sure.

In high G left hand sweepers a M96 may experience oil starvation.
This generally will not be an issue unless you are running slicks and pushing it hard on the track. You can prevent the problem with a deep sump kit and baffles that prevent the oil from pooling all the way to the right side away from the scavenger pump.

For normal driving and even most tracking, its not an issue

I run my Boxster at track days, and because of the oil starvation issue, I chose not to run R-compound tires. I'm running UHP Goodrich's.

Both of the tracks I run at have long left-handers, and I don't want to chance it.
