Enlightening Experience

I have a double free standing garage, one side I iwll call 1.5 car size and the other is definitely 1 car size. I made the 1.5 size my shop and my Boxster's residence almost 4 years ago. The shop had 1 light fixture when we acquired the property, it was a 4 bulb fluorescent fixture. I added 2 more of those fixtures almost from the get go, hard to get enough light in a shop. The other side houses my continual restoration project (and far behind) 1978 FJ40 and it had a single two tube fluorescent fixture, very inadequate lighting. I purchased 4 fixtures from Sams Club that are LED, they did not look that bright in the huge warehouse environment. I hung two of these today and turned them on....my gosh what light from 40 watts...it delivers more light in a single fixture than 4 2 tube fixtures. If you are looking at upgrading your lighting...check these out

Garage lighting is so under appreciated!

I added to our 2-car garage led lights and it made a huge difference. Costco had them on sale for a while....

Haaaa.....I bought one on the below lights for my garage from Costco. Got home and plugged it in. I immediately went back and bought 9 more. My garage is well lit and there in no more buzzing from the old florescent lights. So cool.

And, the start up when cold is immediate. I replaced all of my overhead fluorescents with the LED's. Incredible improvement.

I bought the one from Sam's last year to go over my workbench. Like other said, I was very surprised at the amount of light the fixture puts out.

I leave it on so my cars have a night light!.

Love the two I have (from Amazon), will soon replace all remaining fluorescent lights in both garages with LEDs.

I'm up to 8 pairs of LED replacements now. Love 'em. My only problem in the garage is I have two 8 foot long industrial florescent fixtures and would have to rewire and replace the entire fixtures with two pairs of the 4 foot versions..
