GT3 console delete - poor fit of the plastic trim piece

Anybody have issues with the plastic trim piece fitting nice? I've installed the GT3 center console delete kit before and was happy with the fit. This as you can see in the first photo has a terrible fit, which I believe may be driven by the fact that the center console has carbon fiber and the shifter and boot are different then the standard piece. If you've had a similar fit issue what have you done to remedy it? Create a custom piece to insert? Create a new boot that extends to cover this section? I'm interested in ideas. Thanks!

I have the same delete and trim and tbh they aren't the best fit in the world but do follow the lines if you have a standard console and gaite.

How loose is it on there? The photo makes it seem like it's sitting forward a smidge too much. That panel on mine fits very nicely, FWIW.

But your carbon console looks fantastic. :)

It sits on top instead of in between as on my other kit for the Boxster. It doesn't take even really snap in nice. I may need to trim down the two sides to get it to sit nicely and then that gap you see shoul go away.

Thanks on the CF. That stuff actually delaminated and I had to redo pretty much the whole console. I really noticed how bad it got after I had it out. I used a whole lot of glue.

Mine fits perfectly. You need some new parts, such as a console or boot.
