Fuel gauge

I have a question for all of those savvy porsche boxster fans out there. I recently purchased a 98', and I love the car. My problem is that whenever I fill up my car the needle does not go all the way to the "4/4" mark on the gauge, but it falls between the "3/4" and "4/4". What could be the problem with this, and should I get it fixed or is it just normal?

On my 2000 S it does the same thing and it takes forever to move.

I've got a 2000, and it goes all the way up to 4/4, and it starts to move when I put miles on the car. Its much more accurate than the Pontiac Firebird that I own. That thing goes up to full, then for 100 miles, never moves.
